Russian warship makes ‘AGGRESSIVE’ approach with weapons drawn to US navy cruiser

TROUBLE has flared again in the Mediterranean as a notorious Russian frigate confronted an American warship as it shadowed an aircraft carrier.

The Russian warship the Yaroslav Mudrry – which was involved in a “dangerous” confrontation with an American destroyer earlier this month – was yesterday again spotted in the Med.

The Neustrashimy-class frigate was shadowing the US aircraft carrier the Dwight D. Eisenhower and its strike group as they launched operations against ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

But at sea the Kremlin frigate then closed in on US cruiser the San Jacinto in an action the navy described as “abnormal and unsafe”.

Industry website DefenseNews reports the San Jacinto saw the frigate approaching with “ten personnel topside and weapons uncovered but unmanned”…
